The Political Arithmetic That Can Allow Peter Obi To Win The 2023 Presidential Election

Peter Obi is a presidential candidate of the Labor party, whose chances of winning the 2023 election hanging in the balance. In the course of this article, we will be looking at the political arithmetic that will allow Peter Obi to win the 2023 election.

The Political Arithmetic

Peter Obi 2023

First off, for Peter Obi to garner votes from the north, Kwankwaso, Atiku, and Tinubu will need to share the votes. If northern Nigeria has voters who decide to drum up support for one presidential candidate the candidate will end up with an overwhelming victory. That is why split votes going for different political camps, will give Peter Obi a winning chance in the North. For a start, Tinubu is a Muslim and his vice-presidential candidate Shettima is a Muslim. They have a Muslim-Muslim ticket which can give them lots of votes in northern Nigeria.

Kwankwaso has his own political camp doing some groundwork as Atiku’s.

If social trends and public demonstrations translated to vote counts, we can then assert that Peter will win fair and square in the Southern and Western regions of Nigeria. However, the ownership of a PVC is what will count in 2023, not kitting up for demonstrations in support of Peter Obi.

In summary, if Peter shares northern votes with Atiku, Kwankwaso and Tinubu, it can level the playing ground and give him a boost for the number one political seat in Nigeria come 2023.
